Introduction to the job
At our Berlin site, our employees manufacture key components for ASML lithography systems. As part of our precision manufacturing team, you support the production of optical components, assemblies, and systems made of glass, glass-ceramics, and ceramics for our high-tech small-batch, single-part, and prototype production.
Role and responsibilities
As a Manufacturing Team Lead, you will:
Lead a manufacturing team with both operational and disciplinary responsibility and create clarity in day-to-day collaboration.
Plan and steer daily operations to meet output targets while aligning staffing, shift coverage, vacations, and time management.
Prepare, facilitate, and further develop regular team routines that support transparent communication, fast follow-up, and clear priorities.
Work closely with relevant partner functions to resolve issues, stabilize operations, and address escalations when needed.
Develop the teams capabilities through qualification, cross-training, and structured knowledge transfer.
Support hiring activities and contribute to the selection of new team members.
Use performance indicators to identify deviations, derive actions, improve processes and structures, and contribute hands-on in production when required.
Education and experience
You have completed technical vocational training or a comparable qualification.
You have an additional qualification as a technician or master craftsperson.
You bring several years of relevant experience in a technical manufacturing or operations environment.
You have gained initial leadership experience in a production-related setting.
You work confidently with Microsoft Office applications and have solid ERP or SAP knowledge.
You communicate effectively in written and spoken English and German.

You communicate respectfully and clearly across functions, shifts and hierarchy levels, especially when priorities change or issues escalate.
You build an open learning environment by addressing mistakes constructively and turning feedback into improvement.
