Your Responsibilities

Leading and managing the design and estimation team, ensuring high-quality deliverables aligned with client requirements and company standards

Overseeing the preparation of technical designs, calculations, and specifications for tenders and ongoing projects

Overseeing engineering activities across all projects to ensure consistency in execution

Supporting project teams with design interpretation, technical queries, and problem-solving

Developing and implementing structured processes and workflows for design & engineering, estimation & tendering, QA/QC, commissioning, and as-built documentation

Defining responsibilities, approval gates, and deliverable timelines

Standardizing templates for design calculations, BOQs, QA/QC documentation, commissioning reports, and as-built documentation

Establishing and enforcing document control procedures, including versioning and approvals

Training and mentoring design, estimation, and project engineering teams

Developing structured training materials such as guidelines, case studies, and technical manuals

Conducting regular design reviews, estimation audits, and site engineering audits

Evaluating estimated vs. actual costs and design vs. execution alignment

Collaborating closely with Operations, Sales, and Finance to ensure alignment across all functions

Acting as the key link between Head Office and site teams

Supporting client and consultant interactions on technical matters

Your Profile

Degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Management, or a comparable qualification

Several years of experience in design, estimation, and project engineering, ideally in a technical or construction environment

Strong technical expertise in electrical design and cost estimation

Deep understanding of the full project lifecycle (tender → design → execution → handover)

Strong commercial awareness and cost control mindset

Excellent organizational and process-driven approach

Proven leadership and team development skills

Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities

High attention to detail and commitment to quality standards

Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously

Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken
